PROJECT 3 - CHANNEL IDENTITY
Illustrating assets in Illustrator and Krita
Here's an overview of my illustration progress using both Illustrator and Krita. I found that working with both applications allowed me to achieve the best art style and maintain the consistent quality I envisioned for this project. By utilizing Illustrator's precision and vector capabilities alongside Krita's rich painting tools and textures, I was able to create illustrations that stayed true to the brand's aesthetic. This dual approach ensured that every piece, from the scenes to the tarot cards, aligned perfectly with the magical fantasy theme and high standards I set for this project. The combination of these tools enabled me to produce work that is not only visually appealing but also cohesive and professional.
Animating in After Effects
Animating in After Effects was relatively straightforward, as I primarily utilized the keyframe settings for basic animations. This method allowed me to create smooth and precise movements. To achieve the product spreading animations I envisioned, I incorporated some masking animations, which added depth and complexity to the visuals. The combination of keyframe and masking techniques enabled me to bring my illustrations to life effectively, enhancing the overall quality and impact of the animations.
Editing in Premiere Pro
I did the final touchups in premiere pro like adding the transition and sound effects which allows me to enhance the over aesthetic and vibe of the video.
Final Video
Feedback
Week 13: Good job.
Reflection
The process, while smooth, was quite time-consuming. As I illustrated each element, I had to ensure that everything aligned with the video's aesthetic and the brand's overall look. It was crucial to maintain coherence among the elements, making sure they complemented each other seamlessly.
When it came to animating these elements, the transition was smooth. However, I invested additional time in searching for tutorials to enhance the liveliness and fluidity of the animations and transitions. I aimed to ensure that the animation flow and style were consistent and harmonious throughout the project. This involved learning new techniques and applying them to create a more dynamic and engaging final product. By paying close attention to these details, I was able to achieve a polished and cohesive animation that truly reflected the intended aesthetic and quality.
